Ace fashion designer Manish Malhotra paid tribute to ‘Make in India’ with his collection The Regal Threads. The design-story of the collection has been inspired by Manish’s consummate passion for reviving Indian craftsmanship. Manish’s journey with Kashmiri craft has been well-known. From starting work with 50 Kashmiri artisans four years ago, this effort now employs over 200 artisans. In this indigenous spirit, this year, the label has continued the effort of giving back with craftsmen of Benaras and Gujarat. Every yard of fabric used in the collection has been personally curated by Manish and specially sourced from local weavers and craft clusters in Varanasi and across Gujarat.
